A SMARTER WAY TO DRY OUTDOORS
Know when to hang it out.
HangWashing turns local sunshine, humidity, temperature, wind and rain risk into one clear drying score—plus the best time to put a load outside.
YOUR OUTDOOR DRYING GUIDE
More than a weather forecast
Whether washing dries well outside depends on the way temperature, humidity, sunshine, wind and rain interact throughout the day. HangWashing combines those changing conditions into a practical local drying score, an estimated drying time and the most useful window for putting a load outside.
Outdoor drying questions
What is good weather for drying washing outside?
Low humidity, useful sunshine, mild or warm temperatures, a steady breeze and little rain risk normally create the best conditions. HangWashing assesses these factors together for each forecast hour.
Can clothes dry when it is cloudy?
Yes. Direct sunshine helps, but washing can still dry in cloudy conditions when the air is reasonably dry and moving. Humidity and wind can matter as much as the weather symbol.
Why does washing sometimes stay damp on a warm day?
Warm air can hold more moisture, but when humidity is already high it has less capacity to take water from fabric. A warm, still and humid day may therefore dry washing slowly.
