HangWashing was created to answer one ordinary question more usefully: can I hang out my washing today?

Weather interpreted for a real household decision

General forecasts provide temperature, rain and weather symbols, but they rarely explain what those conditions mean for a basket of wet washing. HangWashing combines local hourly data into a drying score, practical time window and indicative drying times.

Designed for clarity

The service aims to make a complex interaction of humidity, sunshine, wind, temperature and rain risk understandable at a glance. Detailed hourly information remains available when users want to look more closely.

Privacy and choice

A forecast can be used without an account. Remembering a postcode or approximate location is optional, and account-based history remains off unless a user explicitly enables it. Authentication is handled by established identity providers rather than by storing passwords at HangWashing.
